Retrospective chart review of of ED data on stroke activations and diagnosed strokes here at University and at Memorial from January - June 2024 in order to learn about our accuracy and precision of stroke activations. We have over 1200 records of stroke activations and ~600 records of diagnosed strokes. In order to analyze the data, we are reviewing the encounters and collecting information from Epic to help improve ED practices.
Students will review electronic medical records for retrospective data collection and enter relevant data into REDCap database. Data will be analyzed by PI/lead investigator and possibly be presented in abstract and/or publication.
