A study on acute decompensated heart failure will be starting soon which will require screening and enrollment of ED patients who are experiencing ADHF and measuring their readings with a bioimpedance vest during their hospitalization and asking them to wear for 30-45 days at home while we continue to record their readings. Finally, at their f/u appt w/ cards clinic, we would conduct an exit interview and collect the vest. We could use help with screening, enrollment, patient-interviews, and/or data collection. We call this ADHF and Chad Darling is the PI.
Students will screen Epic for potentially eligible patients, possibly approach the patients to discuss the study, followed by consenting and enrolling them. Additionally, they may review patient charts for data collection/entry and call patients to ensure optimal participation.
