This is a retrospective chart review designed to gain insight in the medical decision making regarding the diagnostic approach to patients with potential pulmonary embolism (PE) in the emergency department (ED). we will investigate patients with potential PE who obtained a chest CT to see if the appropriate blood tests and decision rules were used and documented in the medical record.
Students will review electronic medical records for retrospective data collection and enter relevant data into REDCap database. Data will be analyzed by PI/lead investigator and possibly be presented in abstract and/or publication.
