UMass LIV Process, Inc. Emergency Department Survey

By admin , 3 February, 2026

The Division of Infectious Diseases and UMMHC Infection  Prevention and Control are recruiting research assistants for a temporary paid position to conduct a project in UMMHC Emergency Departments. The project will consist of taking part in an environmental survey of the Emergency Department for C difficile using a new commercial spray technology that allows for direct visualization of C difficile spores on surfaces using ultraviolet light.

The project would require commitment to two 1-1.5  per week periods a month apart, ideally ending before June 2026. It is estimated that the work would be roughly 40 hours per week commitment during the weeks the study is taking place although there may be some flexibility.

Additionally, there will likely be publication opportunities associated with the successful completion of the work and participants would be invited to take part in drafting of abstracts or manuscripts.
