Description
A monthly micro-education program delivering 12 sessions of culturally responsive care training to healthcare staff at UMass Memorial Health, focused on underrepresented cultural communities in the Worcester area.
Goals
Improve healthcare staff cultural humility, comfort, and knowledge through monthly 13-minute micro-education sessions embedded in existing staff meetings
Address documented gaps in patient experience scores by targeting communication and cultural responsiveness at the provider level
Build a sustainable, evidence-based curriculum aligned with UMass Memorial Health's health equity strategic priorities that can be handed off to hospital leadership after the pilot year
