Description
This project will be a longitudinal effort to improve access to wound care materials for patients with severe skin loss. Students will start by assessing the availability of dressing supplies at both the University and Memorial campuses, followed by researching best- practice wound supply options for various skin conditions. In collaboration with the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) team, students will create and maintain a centralized list of recommended supplies, ensure storage in designated ICUs at both campuses, and work toward establishing dermatology-specific wound care kits in the units. The overall goal is to streamline access, simplify procurement, and enhance patient care.
