Description
Last year’s group (Summer 2026) investigated breast and gynecological cancer patients' self-efficacy for self-care, dietary choices, and physical activity after their diagnosis. Prior PLPs have focused on characterization and creation of databaae of patients with Brucellosis, characterization of patients with cervical cancer, and survey about vaccination for HPV.
This year’s group will be responsible for forming their own project with the mentorship of Dr. Wessolossky. Topics may include healthcare delivery, patient priorities, adherence to care plans, and QI amongst other topics as it relates to infectious diseases. As the mentors and patients communicate almost completely in Spanish, FLUENCY IN SPANISH IS NECESSARY. Opportunities to shadow are also available during the project.
