Description
The Psoriasis Epidemiology Screening Tool (PEST) is a tool used to identify patients with psoriasis (PsO) who are at high risk of having psoriatic arthritis (PsA). To improve referrals of patients with suspected PsA from dermatology to rheumatology, Dr. Stavre has pushed for the incorporation and implementation of the PEST tool into EPIC mychart based on responses from UMass Dermatologists calling for a more reliable PsA screening tool. By reviewing charts on EPIC slicer dicer, we aim to evaluate the reliability and accuracy of PEST in accurately diagnosing PsA.
Goals
1) Chart review to develop PPV of PEST
2) Evaluate no show rates of PEST referrals from derm and IM
to rheum
3) Evaluate PPV of PsA referrals from derm prior to implementation
of PEST questionnaire
