Improving the quality of care for patients at risk of asthma exacerbations (iCARE)

By admin, 16 January, 2025

In adults with asthma who do not frequently use a nebulizer, we will assess whether a Patient Activated Reliever-Triggered Inhaled CorticoSteroid (PARTICS) strategy is non-inferior (or superior) to Maintenance and Reliever Therapy (MART) strategy. The primary outcome is asthma exacerbations. Secondary outcomes are days lost from work or school or usual activities, asthma control, and asthma-related quality of life.

Students will assist with the qualitative feasibility analysis of the project, which is very important to inform planning for the full study to follow.
