Religiosity and spirituality in anticoagulation use in older adults with atrial fibrillation

By admin, 5 February, 2025

We will measure the association of health belief variables (risk perception, trust in providers, beliefs about the effectiveness of AC) + religiosity and spirituality on anticoagulation use in older adults with atrial fibrillation

Interested trainees will assist with participant recruitment, remotely and in-person in the primary care/geriatric/cardiology clinics.

Patients will be recruited to partake in survey administration. The data obtained will help us better understand the factors associated with the uptake and continued use of anticoagulation for stroke prevention among older adults with atrial fibrillation

Roles and Responsibilities: The time commitment will be 4-5 hours per week. Research activities include participant recruitment, data collection, literature review, scientific writing, and joining weekly meetings.
